Wrap-Up and Lessons Learned

There's certainly no place like home. It was lovely to wake up in our own bed and see the kangaroos and birds in the garden.   Everything was perfect at home thanks to very hardworking Mother/In-law and Father/In-law, who had stayed here for a few weeks after we'd left.   Thanks mum/Tinkie and dad/Rob!  A big thank you also to our mate Grahame who did the airport pickup yesterday.  We unpacked the bikes and found that the damage to Greg’s bike was far worse than first thought.  The baggage handlers had tried to turn the bike into a folding bike, hence, it was damaged beyond repair. I guess this is why we have insurance, but it's still annoying.  After having a closer look at the outside of the box there are distinct tyre marks on it.  They had obviously run over it with the luggage train or a 747. Wendy's bike was not damaged at all.   For what it's worth here it is.   One great thing about cycle touring, you can always improve on the way...
