Day 10 – Thu 19 Jun 14, Lindau

After having breakfast Greg went for a ride whilst Wendy stayed in the room and rested. Being awake but not very alert is not good on a bike. Instead she read her book (on the iPhone) and researched hotels for later on in the tour. Greg said it was nice to get out and just ride with nowhere in particular to go and without the panniers on board. You suddenly feel as though you are stronger and fitter, but it's just the lack of weight. He had a nice ride around the district where there were plenty of people out and about on bikes, walking, rollerblading or mucking about in all sorts of boats. Greg returned at 11am and by midday we were out on the bikes trying to find a nice lunch spot by the lake. After about 5km we found a spot where people were swimming and having a good time. W...
