We did some housekeeping, checked emails, etc before heading off, on the bikes to Maccas for brekky about 7:30am. After breakfast we kept on riding and checked out the route out of the city for Sunday 's ride to Quarten. We were on the Eastern side of the lake and Wendy did not think it was a very good path. However, the motorists are generally very patient, courteous and slow down instead of trying to pass when they shouldn't. Still, Wendy did not feel comfortable. On the way back, we took a detour to the Botanic Gardens. On the way there Wendy had another stack – we had a truck coming up behind us and a car coming the other way so decided the foot path would be a better place to be riding. She did not quite time it right or get the angle of approach correct and kind of skidded along the side of the kerb for a bit before eventually mounting it. Howe...
